VERY FINE AND VERY RARE GUIDE LINE STRIP OF FOUR OF THE 2-CENT 1910 ISSUE WITH FARWELL GROUP 5 PERFORATIONS.
As discussed in the Belasco book, the Farwell Group 5 perforations are not easy to explain and likely resulted from errors in the company's production of its coils, rather than an intentional 4 over 5 hole or 5 over 4 hole perforation design. This guide line strip with Group 5, 4A5 perforations, is a great rarity of the Farwell Company.
Ex Getlan. With 2022 P.F. certificate. We do not understand why Scott dropped the price of this from $6,000 to $4,500 — as this strip realized $5,500 hammer in our Sale 1253.
